30. Atlanta Falcons

2020 Record 4-12

Key Additions: Duron Harmon, Erik Harris, Fabian Moreau, Brandon Copeland, Cordarrelle Patterson

Fantasy Football Starters - Deion Jones, Foye Oluokun, AJ Terrell, Cordarrelle Patterson. Dante Fowler Jr. & Grady Jarrett (Deep leagues)

Best Position Group: LB

New Falcons coach Arthur Smith, GM Terry Fontenot made it clear they would give new defensive coordinator Dean Pees depth in the secondary. In Free Agency they added veterans Harmon, Harris, and Moreau for bargains, by NFL standards. They also added depth at linebacker with Copeland.

On paper this is a well put together roster. On the Defensive Line there are 2 large contracts in Grady Jarrett and Dante Fowler Jr. The strength of the defense are LBs Jones and Oluokun. I expect lofty number from them both and wouldn't be surprised if they both finished higher than LB 32.

The Falcons secondary was their weak link, and they have attempted to address it with veteran presence. Pees will have his hands full converting pieces away from Dan Quinn's long established defense. With a good chance to finish last in the division again, an overturn from GM down, and a secondary led by AJ Terrell it will be difficult for this defense to be reliable in any given week.

The one area they really shine is Special Teams. If other teams elect to kick off to Cordarrelle Patterson, he could rack up a lot of yards. He almost always will field the kick if it is play, great for leagues giving points for return yards. The 2010's All Decade member could once again show his elite speed and give a boost when needed.
