2021 Top 5 DL for Fantasy Football: 2 #IDP #wherestheD

2. MIN — Danielle Hunter

DL Danielle Hunter is a name a few have forgotten and several others have lost some confidence in. Granted, the Minnesota Viking did miss all of 2020 with a major injury, herniated disc. To those that have doubt or have forgotten about Mr. Hunter, he was the highest scoring DL in 2019, and 4th in 2018. Finishing 2nd would be an impressive comeback season.

He has potential to be the most dominant pass rusher of his career span if he stays healthy. A gifted athlete with a versatile skill set to attack the quarterback, Hunter is lethal on all 3 downs. He will play Rodgers, Goff, and Dalton/Foles/Fields combo twice, and starts the season agaisnt Joe Burrow. He could have have 7 sacks in those games alone.

10 sacks should be easily achievable, with 15–20 being a realistic number. Hunter will be joined by the best secondary during his NFL Career, with a well rounded defense in general. He will also stop the rush, but likely allow LBs Kendricks, Barr, and Vigil to get the majority of the tackles. Do not hesitate to draft him early and make him your plug and play DL.
